Grammy nominee, Audiobook Narrator of the Year, and winner of the Best Female Narrator Audie Award, Tavia Gilbert is a performer, producer, writer, and acclaimed narrator of more than 700 full-cast and multi-voice audiobooks for virtually every publisher in the industry. She is an award-winning producer of several nonfiction podcasts with a global audience, and is developing a scripted fiction podcast, The Abels, in collaboration with the BBC. She is a thirteen-time nominee and three-time winner of the Audie Award, three-time nominee and one-time winner of Voice Arts Awards, and the recipient of a ListenUp Award, over twenty Earphones Awards, and three Parent’s Choice Awards.

Tavia is a trusted and sought-after actress for work across every genre, from children’s and YA, to literary fiction, non-fiction, and genre fiction. Audible named her a Genre-Defining Narrator: Master of Memoir, and Library Journal has written of this highly-acclaimed actress that she is “as close as you can get to a full cast narration with a solo voice.” Tavia earned a BFA in Acting from Seattle’s Cornish College of the Arts, studied audio documentary storytelling at the Salt Institute in Portland, Maine, and holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts, where she is in the faculty of the Writing and Publishing MFA and a guest teaching artist in the Writing MFA program.

A goal-oriented fierce competitor, for two decades Michele has been a recognized leader in the audio space as Assistant Managing Director for LA Theatre Works, VP of Sales and Marketing for BBC Audiobooks America, and as a Partner at Forté Business consulting, which provides business development consulting services for the global publishing industry. She is an audiobook publisher and podcast executive producer, as well as the Executive Director for both the Audio Publishers Association and The Podcast Academy.

Her multi-hat wearing background started at Bowdoin College, where she graduated with degrees in Biology and Theatre. She holds a Masters in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Michele can be found working hard to get in 7 miles of walking a day, whether marching in place or walking the streets of Providence with her husband and daughter.

Associate Producer

Katie is a life-long learner and seeker of truth, goodness, and beauty; the Assistant Producer of several podcasts, including the award-winning Stories of Impact podcasts; and an audio expert with 15 years experience managing post-production for hundreds of audiobooks across every genre. She has been a key member of the Talkbox team for over a decade. 

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Philosophy, she studied Radio Documentary at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine, where she began to develop her craft of telling stories that explore questions of meaning in ordinary life.

Katie conceptualized and produced an oral history project affiliated with Notre Dame, traveling throughout the United States to interview more than one hundred of the university’s accomplished alumni. She later interned in Washington, DC, for the National Geographic Society’s radio program, National Geographic Weekend.

She and her husband live in Delaware with their two lively, lovely boys.
